Bike To Work Week 2015 very successful

Bike to Work Week: May 25 – 31, 2015

CF9VhslUIAERvqZ  CGBbWEpVAAE55oMWe had a very successful Bike to Work and School Week! We had great weather and more than doubled our participation in 2014. 392 riders cycled 7,437 kms, burning 223,106 calories and saving 1612kg of greenhouse gases! (Saturday stats)

A reminder to everyone to finish logging your trips by June 9th. Remember there is a grand prize draw for a cycling trip from Prague to Budapest to be drawn from all registered riders over 18 who have logged at least one trip. Congratulations to all of the daily prize winners, as well as our wind up winner,  Lieve  and our bike helmet winners Maddie from Westview Elementary and Kayden from Henderson.

And to all of the riders, thank-you for participating and promoting commuter cycling in our community!

This year all of our district schools have registered, and we might see those cycling to school trying to out-do those cycling to work! So, don’t forget to log your kilometers cycled on the website.
