    A huge thanks to those who volunteered to count bikes last month to assist the city’s grant application for more bike lane funding. PRCA helped send off a strong application, and hopefully we’ll be successful in getting Ministry of Transportation funds for the third year in a row.

    Bike traffic was up at Duncan/Manson intersection by 39% over 18 months ago. Hopefully the new lanes and intersection improvements planned there will increase that. At Joyce/Manson where there are better improvements (and more to come), there has been a 130% increase in the number of people riding. Very encouraging, and hopefully suggests we are on the right track. It sure seems like there a lot more people (of all ages) getting around actively these days…
